Gem CampWhere and WhenFishing Camps run from mid June through late August each summer. For five weeks GEM fishing camps share facilities with Lutherdell Bible Camp near Remer and Longville, MN. Two weeks are based at Land of Promise on Beebe Lake near St. Michael and Buffalo, MN. Two weeks are spent in the BWCA and two to three weeks of day camps are conducted in the Twin Cities metro area. Transportation is provided to and from each camp. What We DoIf you are person who can never get enough fishing, this is the camp for you. Eight to ten hours of fishing during a day at GEM camp is common, though you don't have to fish that much. Swimming, canoeing, ping pong, and basketball are other favorite activities. Fishing instruction is combined with team fishing tournaments and friendly competition. GEM camps are small (12-15) which provides for good instruction and supervision. Praise and worship and morning Bible study are key parts of each day. GEM staff would like to see each camper grow during the week in his/her relationship with the Lord. Who Can ComeGEM Camps are open to all boys and girls ages 11-17. Younger children can come if a parent or adult relative comes along as a volunteer for the week. GEM has a special outreach to youth from single parent families, but all are welcome. Staff consists of junior guides (veteran campers who have received leadership training), adult volunteer guides, and adult senior guides. What to Bring
