The Leinster Pike Anglers hit a river venue for the second leg of their winter league final weekend and with dangerous climate forecast, it seemed prefer it was going to be a tricky day on the banks. However the rain held off for a lot of the day which made for a extra pleasurable day’s fishing. As usually occurs, the fishing was nice for some and poor for others as some anglers returned blanks whereas others had baggage within the 30’s and 40’s. 4 doubles had been caught on the day, three of which fell to at least one angler who fished a wobbled smelt.

General outcomes as follows:

1st Anthony Lennon 8 fish 49lb’7oz

2nd Terry Collins 4 fish 39lb

third Rodney Gaynor 13 fish 38lb

Heaviest Fish – Mark Byrne 13lb’10oz

1st Swimming pools Anthony Lennon & Luke Kearns 21 fish 84lb’1oz

2nd Swimming pools Tommy Coffey & Terry Collins 12 fish 65lb’2oz

Please fish in a sustainable manner
